For all practice, we recommend that your 11+ student has their Essential Learning Pack with them so they can use their whiteboards (or pencil and paper) to do working out. If your child is a part of our 11+ Hubs then we teach written methods. This is key in Maths, Verbal Reasoning and even in parts of the English paper too. If everything is calculated in their head, it isn't as easy to spot a small mistake.
